If a study by the University of Lethbridge in Canada is to be believed, it is the eyebrows which make a face expressive and distinctive. Eyebrows are thus essential distinguishing features which not uncommonly display visual deficits after unsuccessful attempts at permanent make-up or excessive plucking in the past. In order to help these women regain luxurious eyebrow hairs, we at the HAARZENTRUM AN DER OPER offer special eyebrow transplants using the DHI method.
Process
During the DHI method, individual hair follicles are extracted from the donor area using a special implantation tool and directly inserted in the desired location. A particularly natural result can be obtained in this manner by observing the direction of growth.
Preparation
In order to prevent any risks, no medications containing acetylsalicylic acid should be taken ten days prior to the treatment. The consumption of alcohol and cigarettes on the previous day has also proven to be a risk factor.
Anaesthesia
The treatment takes place under local anaesthetic.
After the operation
New hairs are to be expected around four to six weeks after the transplant. The final result then unfolds within one year.
Washing your hair for the first time
Four days after the operation, the face, including the transplant area, can be washed again as usual using water and wash lotion.
Aftercare
In order to be able to assess the result objectively, we offer our patients regular appointments for aftercare.
