Mesotherapy is a non-surgical procedure which successfully counteracts the early stages of genetic or inflammatory hair loss, as well as of thinning hair with a weakened structure – provided that the hair roots in the area to be treated are not yet atrophied. Among other tools, we work with the Vital Injector 2 at the HAARZENTRUM AN DER OPER, currently the most advanced treatment method in the field of mesotherapy. The device, with its vacuum multi-needle attachment, ensures a virtually pain-free and even injection – at a reduced treatment time when compared with classic mesotherapy.
Process
An individual combination of active ingredients made up of highly-effective vitamins, proteins and growth factors is injected up to two millimetres deep into the scalp in a targeted manner using the finest of microinjections. The improved supply of vital substances leads to the regeneration of the hair follicle, and the improved circulation of the blood activates growth. A single session lasts an average of 15 minutes. Usually, eight to ten treatments are required at set intervals.
Preparation
Avoid direct sunlight for approximately one week after your mesotherapy treatment. It is also better to avoid any visits to the tanning salon.
Anaesthesia
Generally, the area which is to be treated is numbed with an anaesthetic cream.
After the treatment
The treatment is almost pain-free and is not associated with any time off. The first new hairs can be expected after approximately two to three months.
Washing your hair for the first time
Hair can be washed immediately after the treatment. You should only refrain from dyeing or perming your hair on the following day.
Frequently asked questions about mesotherapy
How much does mesotherapy for hair loss cost in Munich?
The cost of mesotherapy treatment for hair loss depends, among other things, on how severe the hair loss is and which areas are being treated. During a personal consultation, we will create a customised treatment plan based on the condition of your hair and scalp. Of course, we will provide you with transparent information about the exact procedure and the costs involved.
How many sessions are necessary?
We generally recommend 8–10 sessions, carried out at weekly intervals. Continuous treatment ensures that the hair roots are sufficiently stimulated and permanently strengthened.
Is mesotherapy painful?
Thanks to the latest technology used with the Vital Injector 2, the treatment is barely noticeable. Many of our patients report a slight tingling or feeling of pressure, but this is considered to be easily tolerable. Local anaesthesia is not usually necessary.
How long do the results of mesotherapy for hair loss last?
The results are long-lasting, especially with regular refresher treatments. After completing the initial treatment phase, an interval of three to six months may be advisable to stabilise the results in the long term.
What are the side effects of mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is considered a gentle, minimally invasive treatment. Since active ingredients are injected directly into the scalp using very fine needles, mild side effects such as redness, swelling or small bruises may occur in the treatment area for a short time. These usually subside quickly. In rare cases, allergic reactions may also occur. Before treatment, patients are therefore asked detailed questions about possible intolerances in order to minimise risks.
How long does a mesotherapy treatment take?
A single mesotherapy session usually takes only about 15–20 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis.
When will I see the first results?
The first results of mesotherapy are often visible after a few weeks to about 2–3 months, as the hair growth process takes time. How quickly and clearly the results appear depends on various factors, such as the initial condition of your scalp and the number of sessions.
What do I need to bear in mind with mesotherapy?
Before the treatment, a detailed consultation and analysis of your scalp will take place so that the therapy can be individually tailored. Immediately after the session, you should refrain from washing, dyeing or perming your hair for some time and take care of your scalp so as not to impair the success of the treatment. Regular refresher treatments can be useful to stabilise the results in the long term.
